Annual dues even include insurance and other benefits.  This saves a typical teacher $500 or more a year over what they would have to pay in union dues.

Any public school teacher is eligible for professional membership (full benefits) and other categories exist for students, retired teachers and students.

PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIP.

A certified educator, currently employed by an educational unit or entity in the teaching profession, may join as an active, voting member. $107 annual dues include professional liability insurance, legal representation and other benefits.

ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP.

Retired teachers, paraprofessionals, tutors, aides, nurses, and other persons who support the philosophy and objectives of the organization can become non-voting associate members for $15 annual dues. Does not include insurance.

STUDENT MEMBERSHIP.

Any college or university education student who shares the philosophy and objectives of IPE may become a non-voting member for $25 annual dues. Includes insurance.
